Enrollment Overview
Students in grades 6 through 12 are encouraged to apply to OCS. We accept students from all backgrounds without regard to previous academic performance including grades, test scores or attendance records. Students are accepted based on a lottery system and only need to fill out an application to apply.
We give enrollment preference to students who:
1. Have siblings currently enrolled at OCS
2. Live in Community School District 3
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to inform OCS if your phone number or address changes.

- Each applicant is only allowed one ticket for the lottery.
- During the lottery, student names are drawn one at a time and listed in the order they are pulled.
- After the lottery is complete, OCS informs families by phone, email, and a letter in the mail.

If Your Child is Selected in the Lottery
You will receive an acceptance packet that must be turned in its ENTIRETY by the given deadline in order to secure your child's slot. Please note that you must submit this paperwork in order to complete the enrollment process.

- Proof of residence (click here for form)
- Child’s birth certificate or passport
- Child’s immunization records (must be up-to-date)
- Child’s physical form completed by doctor (click here for form)
- Child's latest report card/transcript
- Child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and/or 504 Accommodation Plan (if applicable and available)
- At the time of enrollment, we require a student report card to demonstrate successful completion of their previous grade.

If your child is not selected in the lottery, he or she will be placed on a waiting list for future openings.
