Sports Clubs & Teams
A robust athletic program is necessary for the physical development of all students, as well as meeting the state requirements for graduation. OCS offers a physical education curriculum that encompasses individual athletic goals as well as team sports and group collaboration. All students are required to participate. Our gym teachers are trained in adaptive techniques to work with students who cannot meet certain physical demands. Our extended day program offers basketball, flag football, softball, and dance.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays we run in Central Park to practice running longer distances (up to 4 miles) Races take place on Saturdays and Sunday mornings. We meet each day in Room 310 (Ms. Francis' Room)
OCS has two cheerleading teams, middle school and high school. We train for 6 months conditioning and perfecting skills necessary for cheerleading, including stunting, jumps, dance, and cheer elements. Students are expected to maintain 2.75 GPA and commit to serving the school community through school pride.
We learned a lot about team work and perseverance this year. We worked hard on sportsmanship and really came together as as a team. Our experience grew with every game we cheered at, we ended the season stronger, sharper and better because of it. Most importantly we made it our goal to NEVER GIVE UP AND NEVER GIVE IN!!!!
